Meet Miss Maple

Description

Miss Maple is a tabby feral cat who I fed from the back deck, in the backyard wilderness for two years. The lives of feral cats are dangerous and usually very short. She was a fixture for a little over a year, and then just quit coming for meals. I hope she found a forever home, but I will never know. There is an active TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program running in the neighborhood. I have seen ferals disappear for months, and suddenly reappear with the trimmed ear that is a sign of a TNR cat. TNR programs reduce the predator-load in neighborhoods where they are in place. There are fewer kittens born and the food supply goes farther for the cats that remain. The size is 24″ x 18″
